About Us

NDRC is an independent enterprise dedicated to accelerating research from idea to income. Our collaborative approach with technology and business innovators is proven to drive greater collective success while cultivating bolder attitudes towards invention and investment.

In October 2011, NDRC announced results including €4.8 million third party commercial investment secured for NDRC-based technologies and emerging enterprises with a combined market capital value of €25 million. 36 sustainable jobs are being created from these new ventures; all situated in the economy’s high growth sectors.

As an Ireland-based investor in digital innovations based on research, NDRC’s investment programmes are tailored to enable innovators, entrepreneurs, researchers and companies to translate great ideas into income generating products and high growth businesses.

With a dedicated commercialisation team, a neutral space for teams to work alongside other digital innovation projects, and an investment fund, NDRC works to accelerate the rate of innovation, with a focus on creating market capital.

The NDRC team covers the range of skills required to accelerate strong ideas to income, spanning start-ups, multinational companies, venture investment and research.

NDRC was founded in 2007 by Dublin City University, Trinity College Dublin, University College Dublin, Dun Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design and Technology (IADT) and the National College of Art and Design, with support from the Department of Communications, Energy and Natural Resources.
