NDRC at ArcLabs

Entrepreneurs with a digital technology focus to their business can now apply to participate in a leading accelerator programme in the South East – NDRC at ArcLabs.

NDRC is currently looking for people with digital startups to join its South-East Regional Accelerator.

The investors and supporters of NDRC at ArcLabs, in addition to Enterprise Ireland, include Suir Valley Ventures, Bank of Ireland Seed and Early Stage Equity Fund, South East BIC, and Local Authorities of Carlow, Kilkenny, Waterford and Wexford, Local Enterprise Offices and Enterprise Centres.

Successful companies will secure investment of €30,000, per venture, over the programme. They will also receive expert mentoring in customer discovery, business model design, sales and growth tactics, finance, investment, technology, marketing, design and communications.

The Programme

The programme will be based in ArcLabs at Waterford Institute of Technology’s West Campus, in Carriganore, Co. Waterford.

The NDRC team will work intensively with each company, over a short time-frame, helping them to understand what value their company can offer customers, working on their strategy for growth and getting them ready to meet the demands of both investors and the marketplace.

NDRC portfolio companies such as Boxever, Logentries, Plynk, Wia and Tandem have already gone on to successfully obtain millions of euros in follow-on investment.

How do you apply?

To apply, please complete this form. Detail on when the programme will run will be published in the coming days.

What areas is NDRC interested in?

NDRC’s accelerators are industry agnostic, though every venture must have digital at its core.

Areas of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • Fintech
  • Health
  • Data Analytics
  • Education
  • Nutrition
  • Internet of things
  • Artificial Intelligence
  • Augmented Reality
  • Virtual Reality
  • Agri-tech
  • Travel tech

What do you get?

  • Investment of €30k per venture and space for your team at ArcLabs
  • Three months working alongside a broad spectrum of start-ups, innovators and investors
  • Expert mentorship in areas such as customer discovery, business model design, sales and growth tactics, finance, investment, technology, marketing, design and communications
  • Weekly workshops and networking with acknowledged thought leaders
  • The opportunity to build your connections with the investment community

Who should apply?

NDRC invests in exceptional teams who are at the early stages of developing a business proposition of global scale.

A digital technology focus does not necessarily mean a founder has to have a background in technology, it means they have a digitally based solution to a problem. As a result we are looking for founders from a variety of backgrounds – industry, corporate, engineering, agriculture, tourism, research etc.

NDRC defines “early stage” to mean a project which is addressing a clearly identified problem, and has either outlined steps to developing a viable solution to this problem, or already has a minimum viable product (MVP) in the market.

If you are at idea or concept stage with your project, and have not yet validated these key aspects of your venture, there are other supports available locally such as Enterprise Ireland's New Frontiers or Enterprise START programmes, which may be a better fit.
