Pre-Acceleration

Pre-Acceleration - connecting industry, talent and ideas

Short term, less intense and more fluid than NDRC's core activity, pre-acceleration plays a valuable role in stimulating ideas among potential entrepreneurs. It also helps to connect corporates and startups interested in digital transformation. For more information on upcoming Pre-Acceleration activities contact Helen.fullen@ndrc.ie

Details of current and previous Pre-Acceleration activities are below:

The Ireland Funds Business Plan Competition

The Ireland Funds Business Plan Competition, now in its seventh year, seeks to nurture creativity and hone entrepreneurial skills amongst Irish-based early-stage technology entrepreneurs.

Participants will have the opportunity to develop their business ideas and compete for the opportunity to pitch for a place on one of NDRC’s investment programmes, cash prizes and other supports.

Applications are currently open for the 2018 edition.

Pre-Commercialisation

The NDRC Pre-Commercialisation Programme is a collaborative partnership between third level institutions and SFI research centres – the Irish Photonic Integration Research Centre and the Connect Research Centre. The aim of the programme is to help researchers actively prepare for Enterprise Ireland commercialisation funding, feasibility funding and pre-seed investment.

All current calls are closed for this programme. The most recent programme kicked off in January 2018.

The Programme was sponsored by Bank of Ireland and eir Business.
