“MetaLabs” Wins at the Digital Media Awards 2010
The new NDRC collaborative partner Moving Media Ltd was the proud recipient of the award for ‘Best Newcomer with International Potential” at the Digital Media Awards on 25th February 2010, for ‘MetaLabs.tv‘. The award is sponsored by Enterprise Ireland and recognizes enterprises that show particular promise of becoming successful in international markets.
Moving Media Ltd are working with NDRC and DCU on a video analytics tool that creates rich timecoded metadata to drive online video search. The MetaLabs project has launched a phase of feasibility work that will build upon the video analysis work undertaken at the Centre for Digital Video Processing at DCU. NDRC are providing investment and commercial support to the MetaLabs project to bring this work closer to market.
NDRC CEO, Ben Hurley said “This award for NDRC’s partner Moving Media is recognition of the companies’ product potential, and we look forward to working with them to develop the MetaLabs project into the international marketplace.”
