After you Apply

Details on the assessment process after you apply to NDRC.

Once you apply to NDRC - either through an active call for startups, or by choosing to contact our investment team using the form on our website - our Venture Investment Team will review your application.  

Successful applicants will then be invited to NDRC’s offices to pitch. The invitation to pitch will be sent by email to the lead applicants email address as stated on the application form.  

Can they achieve a meaningful milestone in 3-6 months?

Unsuccessful applicants will be given the opportunity to hear feedback from NDRC’s Venture Investment Team once the assessment process is complete. Many of NDRC’s portfolio companies have been unsuccessful with their first pitch to NDRC but after taking our detailed feedback on board have returned and impressed our team with a developed proposition.

Full details of the logistics of the pitch will be detailed in the email however when preparing for your pitch to NDRC it is worth considering it will be assessed under the following categories:  

The Grab
Did they make a compelling statement of why they have a really big idea?

The Problem
Did they make it clear that there is a big, important problem that they are going to solve? 

The Solution
Were they specific about what they offering and to whom?  

The Opportunity
Did they provide the basic market segmentation, size, growth and dynamics?  

The Competitive Advantage
Did they detail why they are different to the competition.  

The Model
Did they detail how they are going to generate revenues and from whom? 

The Team
Did they detail why their team is uniquely qualified to win?  

The Reality Check
Can they achieve a meaningful milestone in 3-6 months?
