Through our regional accelerators in Galway (PorterShed) and Waterford (ArcLabs), we look to support and invest in a wide range of digital startups. Below you will find information on our open calls.

NDRC is currently looking for ambitious entepreneurs with digital startups to join its upcoming accelerator, beginning in 2019 at PorterShed, Galway.

Successful companies will secure investment worth €75,000 and expert mentoring in customer discovery, business model design, sales and growth tactics, finance, investment, technology, marketing, design and communications.

NDRC has partnered with the Galway City Innovation District to deliver the programme, which is co-funded by Enterprise Ireland. Previous successful businesses to come through NDRC at PorterShed include Appraisee and PlanDomino.

The Programme

The programme will be based in PorterShed, Eyre Square in Galway, moments walk from Ceannt Train Station.

NDRC portfolio companies such as Boxever, Logentries, Silvercloud Health, Wia and Tandem have already gone on to successfully obtain millions of euros in follow-on investment.

  • The opportunity to build your connections with the investment community

Who should apply?

NDRC’s accelerators are industry agnostic, though every venture must have digital at its core. Through our regional partners, NDRC invests in exceptional teams who are at the early stages of developing a business proposition of global scale.

A digital technology focus does not necessarily mean a founder has to have a background in technology, it means they have a digitally based solution to a problem. As a result we are looking for founders from a variety of backgrounds – industry, corporate, engineering, agriculture, tourism, research etc.

NDRC defines “early stage” to mean a project which is addressing a clearly identified problem, and has either outlined steps to developing a viable solution to this problem, or already has a product in the market.

If you are at idea or concept stage with your project, and have not yet validated these key aspects of your venture, there are other supports available locally such as Enterprise Ireland's New Frontiers or Enterprise START programmes, which may be a better fit.
