Tabspace gathers peer reviews of software development teams from current and former employees, allowing developers to gain quantifiable insights into how engineering teams operate and explore whether or not they would be an appropriate fit for them.

Tabspace

Tabspace is a peer review community for software developers. It accepts anonymous reviews of software development teams from current and former employees, allowing employers and prospective employees to gain quantifiable insights into how engineering teams operate.

Measurements are taken around the key aspects of any software role: the engineering approach; culture; opportunities for career growth; and personal well-being. This allows teams to identify and action any particular trends or areas of concern and to recognise successes. It also enables developers to research teams and source roles that fit their lifestyle and career goals.

Feedback is gathered through a chatbot, which conducts a structured survey. Developers are invited to play ‘review poker’, an adaptation of a popular task estimation technique in agile software development. All surveys are reviewed and verified to ensure the integrity of the feedback we present.
